Mr. Helling was previously the Executive Vice President and Regional Commercial Banking Manager of Firstar Bank in Cedar Rapids with a focus on the Cedar Rapids metropolitan area and the Eastern Iowa region. Prior to his six years with Firstar Bank, Mr. Helling spent 12 years with Omaha National Bank. He joined QCR Holdings in September of 2001 as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust and was appointed Chief Executive Officer Elect of QCR Holdings in November 2018. Mr. Helling is a graduate of the Cedar Rapids Leadership for the Five Seasons program and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the United Way of East Central Iowa and Junior Achievement, as well as the Board of Directors of the Entrepreneurial Development Center and the Brucemore National Trust Historic Site. He is past President and a member of the Rotary Club of Cedar Rapids.
